5 out of 5 for Childs!

The Joy of Keeping Farm Animals: The Ultimate Guide to Raising Your Own Food (The Joy of Series)The Joy of Keeping Farm Animals: The Ultimate Guide to Raising Your Own Food (The Joy of Series) by Laura Childs is great. I talks about raising chickens, turkeys, goats, pigs, sheep, and cows. Comparing this book to the last (The Goat Handbook) I give Childs a 5 out of 5 because in her 100 pages or less on goats alone, she put so much information that was really easy to understand, compared to the whole Goat Handbook. I am mainly just interested in Chickens(eggs & meat), Turkeys(one for the thanksgiving table), goats(milk for soap & maybe meat), and maybe a pig(for meat). I skimmed through and skipped most of the sheep and cow section as I am sure I don't want to raise those. But over all this is a great book, and a great series to get into(The Joy of Series).
